sunny autumn tablature

November 7, 2014

autumnIt’s a sunny autumn here in germany and I just finished a short acoustic guitar duo turning the mood into music. It’s slow and easy to play. The first guitar can repeat the background pattern and the second guitar plays some improvisations. Or you can just use the given tablatures and play the song in the same way I did in the given audio file. I hope you enjoy this tablature. Feedback, additions and corrections are welcome.

The tablatures

You find the two guitars divided in separate audio files at the bottom of this post. You can listen to one of them while playing the other part respectively. But first of all, the tablatures:

# sunny autumn
#     melancholic song
#     for two acoustic guitars
#     by Dorian Glagla
#     published by duochords.com

# notation:
#     *  = harmonic
#     h  = hammer on
#     p  = pull off
#     /  = slide up
#     \  = slide down
#     () = optional
#     v  = vibrato
#     :  = break / hold

# The tablature consists of
#     - a main part in two versions
#     - a short outro in two versions

# This is the order when playing it with two guitars:
#     guitar 1: intro - part 1 - end 1
#     guitar 2:   ::  - part 2 - end 2

# This duo can be played in a loop over and over
# within part 1 and part 2. The second guitar is
# ideal for improvisation.

The first guitar

The pattern of the first guitar consists of some basic chords with different picking patterns. The patterns and chords are easy to remember.

The second guitar

The second guitar plays the tune, without chords. It is easier to grab, but more difficult to remember.
